“Women’s liberation is the foundation of all liberation.”
This tee honors the Kurdish origins of Jin, Jiyan, Azadî / Woman, Life, Freedom, a philosophy born from Kurdish women’s resistance movements in the 1990s. What began as a distinctly Kurdish feminist framework for anti-colonial, anti-capitalist, and anti-patriarchal liberation has since become a global rallying cry for women’s freedom everywhere.
As the words spread across borders and languages, their meaning deepened, connecting women’s struggles from the mountains of Kurdistan to movements around the world. This t-shirt exists to honor those roots, the Kurdish women who reimagined liberation from the ground up, and to carry their vision forward.
Made from 100% U.S.-grown cotton, this heavyweight tee is garment-dyed for that soft, broken-in feel, like your favorite vintage shirt you’ll never want to take off. The pigment dye process gives every tee a slightly unique tone and ensures it only gets better with age.
